TrueOrigin puts spend next to installs and revenue by the ad network’s Campaign ID. That id reaches TrueOrigin through the campaign_id URL parameter, so set up the ad’s URL parameters first. For now spend comes in as a CSV export. In the dashboard: Settings → Ad spend → Import CSV → Choose CSV. Export campaigns by day, with their Campaign ID.

Meta

In Ads Manager, Campaigns tab:
  1. Breakdown → By time → Day.
  2. Columns → Customize columns: add Campaign ID and Currency.
  3. Export the table as CSV.
Only campaign-level exports work; ad set and ad exports are rejected. A single-day export without the Day breakdown works too.

TikTok

TikTok’s Campaigns table has no day breakdown and may export only Excel, so use a custom report: Analytics → Custom reports, with the dimensions Campaign ID and By Day and the metric Spend, exported as CSV. TikTok adds the Currency column by itself.

File format

  • CSV only, up to 10 MB. Excel (.xlsx) files are rejected: export as CSV.
  • English or German column names, as your Ads Manager language exports them.
  • Comma, semicolon or tab separated; UTF-8, UTF-16 or Windows-1252.
  • Dates as 2026-09-15, 2026/09/15 or 15.09.2026. US dates like 9/15/2026 are refused because they are ambiguous.
  • Importing a period again replaces the days already imported. Import every week or so to keep CPI and ROAS current.
If a file is refused, the message says which column is missing and how to add it.
